I used this exact approach today to preach the entire gospel to a woman. I wasn't even sure I was going door-to-door, but the sun came out, it warmed up a little, and so after running a few errands, I took my seven tracts I had left in my truck and went to an apartment building with six apartments. It took me 2 1/2 hours there, because I talked to four people, two for a very long time. The woman did not get saved, but she gave her phone number, believed she needed to be saved, and said she thought she would in the future.
She believed everything I told her was the truth. She stood there an listened in the relatively cold temperatures. I gave a longish presentation of the gospel, enough that she understood it. Why didn't she get saved? She understood repentance and I believe there is some sin she still is hanging on to, even though she knows and believes she shouldn't.
