God, the Bible, & Science: Friends or Enemies? A New Tract

I have written a new gospel tract entitled "God and Science: Friends or Enemies?" Richard Dawkins, the 21st century's most well-known atheist, has said:

"It is absolutely safe to say that if you meet somebody who claims not to believe in evolution, that person is ignorant, stupid or insane (or wicked, but I’d rather not consider that)."[1]

Dr. Dawkins has explained his refusal to debate creationists by comparing it to why a doctor of gynecology would not debate someone who believes in the "stork theory" of where babies come from.  See, for example, the remarks he made below in Berkeley, CA:

There is a very significant percentage of the population that has been brainwashed into thinking the way Dawkins does.  To that end, my tract "God and Science" deals with:

1.) The most important reason most people believe in evolution--they think that everyone who does not believe in evolution is an ignoramus who rolled off the turnip truck and knows nothing about science.  The fact that the large majority of the founders of modern science were creationists and anti-evolution, while large numbers of scientists, including a double-digit number of Nobel Prize winners, are Darwin skeptics, belies this argument.

2.) Some specific arguments for creation and against atheistic evolution are made.  Arguments that even those with the kind of Dawkins-like prejudice against creation and a strong faith in mainstream science are likely to recognize as very difficult to deal with are emphasized.

3.) The fact that the key issue is willingness to submit to Christ's Lordship, not insufficient intellectual evidence for the Bible, is then pointed out.  Links to get more information, more evidence for the Bible, and more clarity on the gospel are then provided.

The tract fits on both sides of an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, and, depending on the type of copy machine your church has, it may be printable and foldable simply by setting it to some setting such as "staple book binding"; at our church this will fold the page in half so that no extra effort needs to be used to fold the tracts.  You can personalize the tract for your Baptist church by downloading the Word document at the All Content page of faithsaves.net.  If you do not already have a tract or pamphlet that deals with creation science and evolutionary myth, I would commend this one to you.  If you already have one or more, perhaps this one is still worth adding to your collection.  If you have Jack Chick's tract "Big Daddy," please stop using it for the reasons described at this link and get something better.

I am also working on a faithsaves.net/science/ section where evidence for creation and against evolution is available for those who want the truth, and where, whenever possible, independent Baptist resources that are reliable are emphasized, such as David Cloud's fine book Scientists Who Believe the Bible.  I am currently teaching a Bible Institute class on creation evidences, and, Lord willing, creation evidence videos will also be posted at faithsaves.net/science/ in the future.  Right now that section is under construction and only has a relatively small amount of material.

Since I began by posting a Richard Dawkins video, please also note the video below, where Dr. Dawkins manifests an inability to give a single instance where mutations added useful information to the genome; he asked that the recording be stopped so that he could think of a response during this interview, and, after having plenty of time to think, he gave an answer that did not supply a single example:

The physical tract at faithsaves.net/all-content/ does not give documentation of quotations for space reasons, simply referring to the website; the web version that gives references is now live at faithsaves.net/God-science/.
