History seems to reflect this as women today still wear headcoverings (and HC's were quite prevalent just a century ago). Is just the female part cultural? Of course, the reverse is stated for women: she is to have long hair & possibly some type of covering to show her submission. In both I Timothy 2 and I Peter 3 a woman shows her submission to the Lord in her church & in her home by not wearing worldly clothing or exotic hairstyles.
